Q: Apple TV photostream "unable to sign in"??

Just purchased and installed Apple TV today but when I try to launch Photostream, I keep getting the same error message

" Unable to sign in  The icloud Terms of Service have changed.  For more information, go to http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/."

which would be fine if it allowed me to read AND accept the terms and conditions. I've gone to the Terms of Service page, but there is no way to acknowledge and accept.

I've check my Login and password several times

I've restarted the Apple TV

It has the latest update

I've signed in and out of iCoud on several devices without incident, and none of them mention anything of terms of sevice change

iCloud works just fine on my iphone, ipads, and macbook pro.

I've noticed this in a few other posts, but have yet to see a satifactory answer or solution.

Any help out there?

Hmm... Perhaps I'll have to call as well.  I tried a both a reset, and then a restore.  Neither changed the problematic unable to sign in problem.

Hmmm..I haD no issues, almost everything came back except the option to have your slideshow pics play for longer than two seconds which is aggravating me. I had it set for 10 secs before but it seems that option is gone. lso the option to do random or or not. I spoke with them on the phone and did a full restore. They did not charge me because this is there issue not ours.  I would go to the tech support site and fill it out for them to call you.

On device,in apple id (Store), change country, save. Then change back, save. Go to settings, icloud, change of terms should pop up.

    Hi Clay -

I've tried many of the suggestions here, but the only thing that seemed to do the trick has been to download the iCloud control panel on my work PC and accept the new TOS through that.  See my other post here for more information:

    Hi Joshua,

I already have the iCloud control panel downloaded and do not know how to get rid of it so that I can download again. Any ideas?

I had exactly this problem and it appears the only (unsatisfactory) solution is as follows:-

You have to upgrade another IOS device to IOS6. (This ruled out my iPad V1 which can't be upgraded to IOS6). Fortunately I have an iPhone4 which like it or not, had to be upgraded to IOS6 to get Photo Stream to work with the new Apple TV update.

After updating the iPhone to IOS6 I was prompted to accept the new iCloud Terms of Service on the iPhone. After doing this, I was able to sign in to Photo Stream on the Apple TV.

Without upgrading to IOS6, it  seems you're never prompted to accept the new Terms of Service.

It may be possible to get the Terms of Service to appear when installing the iCloud Control Panel, but having already installed this, I couldn't get them to appear, even by uninstalling and reinstalling.

This whole saga appears to be an oversight by Apple with their Apple TV update.

Steve, you seem to be right as other firmware earlier than ios6 want work, but the thing why apple didnot warn people about that, the iCloud client software didnot work I tried that and nothing appeared from the TOS aggreament, but from discussion some users could get connected to photostream so this is a bit strange.
