Dec 18, 2012 1:40 PM in response to Jeff Critelliby db_3,Indeed...iP5 with 6.0.2 still won't pair with Citroen DS3.

Dec 18, 2012 1:51 PM in response to db_3by Njklutz,That is very disappointing!! Just d/l 6.02 and was anxious to go home and try. Anyone have any thought that we have to unpair and re-pair to get it to work?
Now that this apparently doesn't fix our problem where do we go from here?

Dec 18, 2012 5:24 PM in response to reidman1by Timothy Z.,When is Apple going to fix this issue?! I have been trying to get this to work with my 2013 Buick Verano, and have been unsuccessful even with the 6.0.2 update. For a $400 phone, it sure doesn't seem like it makes sense if I can't even use it in a car that is 60 times the price. Get your act togther Apple, and stop shafting your users!!!!!!

Dec 18, 2012 5:37 PM in response to reidman1by deahrens,For what it is worth today I upgraded to 6.0.2 and tried my iPhone 5 in the Toyota Sienna in which I have had problems. Now the bluetooth connected and made a phone call and the receiver heard me no problem.
BUT it does NOT connect to play audio. APPLE HELP US!!!

Dec 18, 2012 6:13 PM in response to deahrensby Njklutz,I was so excited. I downloaded 6.02, got into my Infiniti M37, first call answered no problem. After that all disconnected from the bluetooth. Very disappointed in Apple!! Fix your problem already before someone gets killed answering their phone while driving!!

Dec 18, 2012 8:46 PM in response to reidman1by dfayne,I just want to reiterate. If you haven't already, file a bug report. The more bug reports the higher the issue is escalated. The Apple Support Community is not a bug reporting tool. These boards are largly un-moderated and monitored by Apple enginners.
Also keep in mind that 6.02 was a minor update which addressed very specific Wi-Fi related issues. The 6.1 release will address a borader range of bugs. Hopefully most of the bluetooth issues will be ironed out then.

Dec 19, 2012 7:38 PM in response to reidman1by JS1263,Same issue here! I thought today's update may fix it but it didn't. Does anyone know if Apple will ever have a fix?

Dec 19, 2012 7:44 PM in response to Jeff Critelliby Jeff Critelli,Well that was a huge waste of time as you all probably know by now... Don't give up... the iPhone 5S will be out soon.

Dec 19, 2012 7:58 PM in response to dfayneby Uschimu,Have filed a bug report about my 2013 highlander with iphone 5 - same sympton as everyone else with having to manually answer phone and then transfer to bluetooth- highly dangerous while driving......
Tried iphone 5 in my Camry Hybrid 2007 and worked fine, but in the expensive vehicle purchased to replace the Camry it does not work? Called apple support, but while they were courteous and helpful, they had no clue how to really think things through that I told them and insisted it was not apple but toyota. Seems to me it is both...
Just don't understand why I have to use my apple id to be able to sign in to the support community and then nobody at apple really seems to think it necessary to at least read the strands where problems are not solved?

Dec 20, 2012 9:20 AM in response to reidman1by Shelzer,I'll add my symptom to the list -- iPhone 5 with iOS6.0.2 has never worked properly in my 2012 Infiniti G37X.
I can make calls; can't answer calls over bluetooth. Tried the hold button, then answer, I can hear the caller, but they can't hear me.
Bluetooth audio has a mind of its own, but using the iPod USB port works great.
My DroidX had no problems with Bluetooth handsfree or audio.

Dec 20, 2012 2:38 PM in response to JP Boneby Karennan,For all the Infiniti drivers out there, here is an update from the conversation I had today with the Infiniti bluetooth helpdesk. They told me that this problem exists with every Infiniti that is a 2009 or newer that has a navigation system, and is trying to pair with an Iphone 5. Most often the phone is able to pair and is able to call out, but cannot receive calls. The call comes in and when you press answer, the call comes into the phone, not through the bluetooth. His recommendation is to answer the phone the way you normally do and then hit the phone symbol on your steering wheel. He says this works about 50% of the time. I also find that the slower I am driving the more likely it is that I can get the phone to answer. It always works when I am in park, and hardly ever works when I am on the highway.
This Inifiniti guy also told me that they have had over 1500 calls so far reporting this problem. And, they feel it is Infiniti's problem to fix. Although they realize that Apple created the problem for them by coming out with this new version of bluetooth, they cannot depend on Apple to fix it, even though they know that there are many other types of cars that have the same problem. And they feel this way because they do not want to lose customers over it. So they've got 25 Infiniti engineers working on it, and if they can come up with a fix, we would all have to bring our cars to the dealer to get the bluetooth software updated. To see if this ends up being the solution, go to the Infiniti web site and keep checking on the bluetooth page.
I also talked to an Apple senior advisor this week who was the first Apple representative who admitted to me that they knew they had this problem and were working to fix it. So I am hopeful that between Apple and Infiiniti, someone will come up with a solution before I kill myself in my car.

Dec 20, 2012 6:25 PM in response to Karennanby Njklutz,Thank you Karennan,
I too have an Infiniti and the disconnecting phones upon receiving a call is driving me nuts. Thanks for this fine effort and detailed post.
I would love to call Infiniti as well, can you tell me how you contacted them?
I'm sure if you hear back from them you will let all of us know.
Thanks so much.

Dec 20, 2012 6:59 PM in response to Njklutzby maxmaxie,I have been part of this message thread from the beginning back in September. I also received a phone call from the Apple Executive Branch regarding the issue. I have been in contact with Infiniti and the maker of the NAV in those cars - Clarion US. Infiniti has accepted responsibility for the issue as it's on them, not Apple. They also informed me that they have tested the fix and it works and a bluetooth update will be available to dealers at the end of the year.
I too thought it was Apple here because I've never had an iPhone have these issues. Apple stated that they are using the latest Bluetooth protocols and it's not them, it's the car companies. It sounds like they do care and are working with them.
They had asked me to provide the actual part numbers of my NAV, bluetooth firmware, etc. I have spent hours on the phone with Infiniti and Apple - nice to at least talk with the head honchos at Apple!
I'm an IT consultant and own a top Apple IT company in Los Angeles and NY. This has been one frustrating incompatibility.
Really looking forward to the firmware update - hope they are accurate with the timing.
