    I have an infiniti m35h same issue. This is very frustrating I would never have purchased the phone had I known about the issue. I really hope an update comes soon this makes answering the phone slow and dangerous.

    My i5 has the same fault.  I use a TomTom GO950 GPS in my Rav4, all previous phones, i4, Nokia, HTC have worked well.  My new i5 pairs ok, I can make outgoing calls ok, BUT when an incoming call rings and I answer it the line seems to go dead...nada...zip....  I have taken the GPS out of the car, updated it and used it inside my home with the same result, nada.  I have rebooted the i5, still nada.  these phones are not cheap, seems like the value for money is trending downhill.  I look forward to a fix, SOON.

    For Infinity, I found a temporary solution.

    If you answer on the phone with speakerphone and then hit bluetooth -- it connects and you can hear and speak to the person.

    Obviously not the best solution for handsfree.

     

    I heard of people using the steering wheel. 

    Can the same thing be accomplished through the steering wheel.

    If so, please explain how.

    Has anyone notice that the Iphone 5 does charge at all or much slower in the infinity?

    I have it connected to the USB wire that plugs in directly to the car -- not the lighter.

    Previous models charged well and quickly.

    I've got a 2010 G37s, and I don't have this issues. Maybe your Navi needs to be updated?

    Eric, I can only explain how to do this for a relatively new Infiniti G37x, but it may be similar for your car.  When I receive a call, the LCD screen in the car changes to advise me of the caller ID and gives me the option to answer by pushing Enter on the steering wheel. When I do that, it answers, but neither side can hear the other.  The onscreen now changes, and with "Hangup" being highlighted.  One slot down, though is "Transfer to Handset" or something like that.  If I choose that, the call will go the handset immediately, and if I put it to my ear, both sides can hear one another.  The LCD screen in the car goes back to your music or NAV or whatever. 

     

    Instead of picking up the handset, however, if I hit the "phone" button on the steering wheel (not "Enter" and not "voice command" -- phone), the call is immediately transferred back to bluetooth and everything works fine. The trick is to do this all quickly enough that the other side does not hangup.

    Sorry Max, when I referred to what I do with the steering wheel controls to transfer the call to the handset and back to bluetooth, that was car specific (you'll see in my post that I specifically noted the brand and model of the car).  You might have something similar on your car. But since there are a lot of Infiniti people posing here, I thought it would be worth advising everyone of at least one trick that might work and be safer than doing this from the phone (which anyone should be able to do). -John

    Just googled this as I'm having problems.

    I have a sub 1 year old Mercedes-Benz C350 with the comand system. Audio streaming is fine (also no longer required with the lightening adapter)  but the telephone is a nightmare!

     

    Dialling out is not problem but when I get a call it won't let me answer 50% of the time.

    Regardless of if I have foaled out or they foaled me, when you do get a connection, there is a long, circa 10 second delay before you can hear the caller or they can hear you.

    Ditto Mercedes 550. I am furious. Apple needs to fix this....every car maker cannot make their own fix. Everything was great til I moved to the iPhone 5. I need to use my phone when I drive, but I don't dare use it as a handset.

     

    I repeat....FURIOUS FURIOUS!

    I have the same problem with my 2012 Infinity M37!  I called Infiniti today, and hey have had ofer 500 calls for the iPhone 5; there is no update at this time. He said. To keep calling in to get updated status.

     

    Can you say Bluetoothgate?

     

    iPhone 4 = antennagate

    iPhone 4s = batterygate

     

    Let's hope Apple will come out and say something sooner that the previous gates.

    I have the same issue pretty much everyone else is having in my 2011 G37x coupe.  Outgoing calls are no problem but when I receive an incoming call and I hit enter on the steering wheel to answer, the call gets automatically transferred to my phone.  Once that happens, there seems to be no way to transfer the call back tot he car's bluetooth.  Even if I tap CAR on the display on the phone, it doesn't transfer it back.  I have not yet tried what one person suggested which was to press the phone button on the steering wheel. 

     

    I did notice that if I delete the phone from the car and repair it, it will answer calls just fine.  But it will stop working again as far as answering incoming calls the next time I startup my car again.  Instead of deleting and repairing the phone, this morning I turned off bluetooth on the phone to disconnect it from my car, turned bluetooth back on, and then pressed on the phone to connect to my car.  That also enabled the car's bluetooth to answer incoming calls the way it should.  But I can't be expected to do this every single time I get into the car. 

     

    And for everyone's information, my car's bluetooth software was updated a couple of weeks ago by Infiniti.

     

    Come on Apple, we need a fix!

    I own 2011 Toyota Highlander.  My iPhone 5 pairs with the audio, but doesn't pair with hands free system.  I called Apple who informed me that I would need to have my software updated on my vehicle.  I called Toyota whom stated that the only information the Service Department has is there is supposed to be an software update for only 2012 Toyota Highlanders for the iPhone 5 available sometime in January.  Toyota told me that older models are not included.  I'm so angry with Apple.

    I am having the same issues on my Inifinit M37X 2012.  Iphone 4 worked great.  With the 5 I disconect evertime I answer.  HHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP please

    Well I just got off the phone with HandsFreeLink. They are aware of the iPhone 5's connection issues and are now in testing. Bad news....they will not have results until the second week of November. If they find it to be incompatible then they can do nothing about it. They do not do updates for the bluetooth. If it is imcompatible, then the issue is with Apple.

     

    I also just called Apple with the issue and after a discussion with the tech who had me check if my bluetooth was on...duh....I realized they would be of no help.  She went to the supervisor and their answer is to go to an Apple store to get it repaired (I then I asked her if they new what to repair) or get the phone replaced.

     

    I've only had the phone since last Saturday and I'm seriously thinking of taking it back. Why have a nice car  (2012 CRV) with bluetooth and it be imcompatible with the phone? Makes no sense. Apple needs to fix this!
