If you want to change your iCloud ID to another existing ID you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to your new account.

Hey I need help as well...

I'm trying to get a new iCloud account, but I don't want to delete any documents I have on my iPhone. I heard that if you turn everything off under the iCloud settings and then delete the account, then you can sign up for a new one. The problem is that I'm afraid to turn off the 'documents and data' option in fear that it will delete everything from my phone, which I'm absolutely trying to avoid. Is it really going to delete everything, or is my stuff safe if I turn it off?

I really need help. Thank you

Hi

I've changed my Apple ID and can log into that with no problems. However my iCloud ID on my iPhone 5 is still linked to my old ID and I don't have the option to change it in "settings".

I've tried following your earlier advice to turn everything off in iCloud, saving data to phone with a view to deleting the account. However I can't turn off "Find my Phone" as this requires a password for my old Apple ID (which no longer exists). This needs to be turned off before I can delete my old iCloud account.

Many thanks for your help!

The only solution I've seen that seems to consistently work is the one posted by Brackers28 here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5320981?answerId=23020591022#23020591022. This only works if you still have access to your old email account. If you don't, you'll have to have Apple help you reset the password for your old account so you can turn off Find My iPhone. iTunes store support can help you reset the password (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) or you can pay to call Apple support or make an appointment with the Genius bar at a nearby Apple store.

I am having some difficulty with my icloud accout right now. I dont know if anyone can help me with this or not. After the new software update came out, ISO 7, my icloud id switched back to an older apple id that i haven't used in years. I cant delete the account from my phone because i do not know the password to the account. I also do not know the security questions or password to that email address to reset password. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.

If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

Do I need 2 e-mail accts and 2 iTunes accts to set up iCloud on 2 different iphones

You need two Apple IDs to create two iCloud accounts, and each Apple ID will require a separate email account to set up. You don't need two iTunes IDs. You can share the same iTunes ID on both phones and still have separate iCloud accounts with separate IDS. (The ID you use for iTunes does not need to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.)
