iPhone 5 bezel replacement

Today my black iPhone 5 slipped out of my shorts and fell on it's back on the concrete from about 1 1/2 feet high. There are no cracks or anything and no functionality problems but i was left with scrapes on about 4 different spots of the black bezel edge.

Any idea of what Apple would change to replace the bezel sans AppleCare?

I have a Genius Bar appt tomorrow. I talked to someone tonight and they said I can probably still get AppleCare once they check it out since the screen or anything major doesn't have problems and its only superficial. I guess that could end up being cheaper since it would be $99 for the plan and $49 for an accident claim.

Here's to hoping for a nice genius!

Also, dropped my new black iPhone 5 from less that 1 foot onto a smooth tile floor, while bending over to pick something else up. The shiny, black, "highly-polished" chamfers/bezels also chipped off in a few places. Luckily, I had screen protectors on the front and back, or else I would have scratches on the slate aluminum back as well. This is my 3rd iPhone, and the first time that I have ever put a mark or scratch on one of them. The previous models were much more durable in regards to minor bumps and everyday wear. I never put a cover on them. . . Oh, I also noticed that some of the slate color is coming off the edge of the headphone jack, as well, just from using the Ear Pods. I'll probably get Apple Care and wait awhile to see what else happens. If I could do it again, I would get the white phone. I am not at all confident that this new black iPhone will stand up to daily wear.
