Airport Extreme Comcast, and DNS

My ISP, Comcast recently changed their DNS servers from hard coded to automatic selection.

According to Comcast, this has caused my APEBS to be unable to automatically get an IP address which means I can not get on the internet via the APEBS.

IP address shows up as completely blank in APEBS admin software.

Comcast evidently does not support APEBS. I had absolutely no problems for over two years with my wireless network until they made the DNS change. My home network also includes a Windows XP laptop

Before call Comcast TS, the XP laptop could get to the internet via APEBS the Powerbook could not. The Comcast TS person wanted to check the internet connection directly from the MAC. I was unable to convince him it was a bad idea. After re-hooking everything up I had no connection through the base station at all.

Has anyone had any experience with this issue and what was the resolution?

Thanks.

Latest on this issue:

If I do a soft reset of the base station resetting only the password, and reboot the Mac, I am back in business.

If I reboot the Mac, no more connection. If I wait any period of time I lose the connection as well.

I tried changing the password immediately which also kicked me off.

My AEBS is set up for WPA 128 bit encryption and password access.

I also did just update the AEBS software as Software update indicated there was one available.

Any ideas on next steps?
