Thanks, for your input! I would normally just buy the OWC too but money is now an issue for me. I am on a fixed income (disabled) and my wife lost her job 2+ years ago and no longer collects UC. We have developed a small online business to help pay bills and need a fast reiable drive so I have to do something ASAP and I can't bring myself to put another regular drive in. I have had 4 or 5 standard hard drives go bad in the last 2 years in my various Macs and PCs. But I disgress!

The OWC 240 GB SSD is about $80 more than a similar 256 GB SSD from Crucial. I guess I wish someone could tell me the advantages of the OWC SSD over the Crucial or any other brand for that matter. What am I not getting with the Crucial or other brands that I get with the OWC? Or is it just that the OWC SSDs are priced higher since the drastic price reductions in SSDs has yet to hit the OWC line of SSDs?

I guess what I was hoping is that someone had personal experience with a similar Mac and the Crucial or similar SSD. I tend to believe customer indorsements rather company propaganda. But thanks for your thoughts!
