I just received my iPhone 5 and it keeps asking me to enter a voicemail password, but I never set one. Whenever I turn on my phone it is asking me that and I am not trying to listen to voicemail. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Remember, I never set up a voicemail password so there should be no reason for my phone to be asking me to enter one. Thanks. :-)

For VVM, Visual Voicemail to work, you need to configure it and entering a password is a step. It is the password that you use for your regular voicemail that you would have accessed via your carrier in the past. This is just an easier way to do it.
Chris is correct. Just one more thing -- even if you got a brand new phone number with your iPhone 5, there would still be a voicemail password. It would have been determined by your carrier. It might be something like the last 4 digits of your phone number, or 1111, or some such thing.
Your carrier can tell you.
