Make iPod EQ settings apply to Podcast app or give the app EQ settings - Major fail

My Music podcasts sound weak now because the Bass boost setting in the music settings does not apply to podcasts in the podcast app. We need the settings to either apply accross the board or to give the podcast app EQ settings of its own

90% of the music I listen to is via podcast so I am really dissapointed in how my music sounds at the moment.

Is there a setting that I am unable to find or is this just a major oversight in splitting the apps apart?
