Q: Is there a way to hide the "My Friends" app on the iPhone so that the user doesn't know it's there?

I got an iphone for my nephew who is under 18 and is living with me. For security reasons I would want to know his where abouts and to make sure he is at the location he is supposed to be at. Is there a way to hide the app so he will not see the app on screen?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

No there is no possibility to hide an installed app.

yes you can--there are hidden folder apps. So you can put the app into a folder that is not visible unless you know how to open it.
