iOS6 Bluetooth to Renault Arkamys

Hi,

I have a 2010 Renault Scenic III with Arkamys radio.

Since I have my iPhone4, I'm connecting over Bluetooth to get hand free phone, but also to stream music.

I have experienced the regression when switching from iOS4.0 to iOS5.0 about audio streaming play/pause delays, corrected by iOS5.1 (fortunately).

Now, iOS6.0 is there with new regression!

Since I deployed iOS6.0, my car radio is complaining regularly (about each 10mn) that the iPhone is low battery, whatever is the iPhone battery charge (tested at 100%, ~80%, and ~10%).

Please Apple software engineer correct this new regression about Bluetooth stack!

And please do not say that it is related to device (in my case Renault Arkamys radio): this is not the case!

Hello,

Just some precision on the tests ran:

Low battery message on Bluetooth device is starting to show up as soon as the iPhone battery goes below 80%.

It works fine above this value (small correction to my post above).

Yep - me too after iOS 6 upgrade. Doing my head in. My battery isn't flat, but its telling me it is about once a minute. Makes the sat-nav blank screen quite annoying, whilst its telling me this.

Same problem. First with iPhone4 and ios6, now with an iPhone5. **** annoying.

Yep, same here. iPhone 4 and IOS 6.0 and Renault Laguna 3. No issues on IOS 5, now battery notification all the time since upgrade to IOS 6. Very annoying, updates are supposed to fix issues, not create new ones, even I know that and I am a software engineer.

Since I have the iphone 5, I can no longer stream via bluetooth. I have a Renault Megane (2012) with the Bose audio.

With my iPhone 4 (iOS5) everything was working well.

Omitted the fact earlier that my vehicle is a 2010 Renault Trafic van, with built in Bluetooth connection. Very disappointed that I cannot revert my iphone 4 back to iOS 5 - where it interacted with my vehicle perfectly.

You would know this how? Do you know someone at Renault that has verified that their software is conforming properly to all protocols and they're receiving incorrect data from the iPhone?

Simply stating "it used to work and it doesn't now" does not constitute proof.

Many car audio manufacturers are currently working on firmware fixes, which tends to tilt evidence towards it being an audio manufacturer problem rather than Apple's.
