Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Since installing OS X 10.7.5 and iPhoto 9.4, I can no longer export photos from iPhoto. I get a message that "iPhoto quit unexpectedly while using the HPPhotoExport plugin."
iPhoto '11, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Trash the HPPHoto Export Plugin
/Library/Application Support/iPhoto/*/HPPhotoExport
Remember you have two Libraries:
HD/Library and
HD/Users/Your Name/ Library
On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library
It may be in either.

I'm getting the same message, but when I looked for the plugin in the Library, it wasn't there. Any suggestions?
I cannot find the plug in in either Library.
In my User Library, iPhoto is not there and in
HD /Library/Application Support/iPhoto/ I do not see HPPhotoExport.
What does the /*/ signify in your path?
After looking around, I found the file in the other Library (on the main computer) and deleted it. All is now working properly again. Thank you Terence Devlin.
I had to follow the path: HD/Applications/iPhoto.app
then right click on the iPhoto.app and select "Show Package Contents"
then follow the path /Contents/PlugIns
HPPhotoExport.iPhotoExporter was there.
I moved it to the trash and emptied the trash and now I can export from iPhoto again.

Perfect! This worked flawlessly for me as well (under 10.7.5). Thank you very much! The plugin in question is from 2008, and has probably never been updated since then. It looks like it's something from Hewlett-Packard? HP's software for the Mac often behaves oddly... but I'm not sure what that plugin actually is, anyway. I'm not even sure I know what it's doing inside iPhoto!
I tried Terence's suggestion, found the HPPhoto Export plugin, but my computer won't let me delete it. I've tried hitting the delete button; I've tried dragging it to the trash--nothing. Any other suggestions?
Never mind, I just figured out how to do it. All it involved was doing it the long way--"Move to Trash" in the dropdown menu. Thank, Terence! You've been a lifesaver.
