Sep 25, 2012 6:34 AM in response to littlemoccasinby Michael Black,In the Store app, scroll to the bottom and log out, then back in.
Of course, if you created a wholly new AppleID (that is, did not merely change the primary email address of your existing AppleID), then you will not be able to update or re-download any of your old purchases with the new AppleID (you will need to use the old one to update those apps or redownload those past purchases).

Sep 25, 2012 7:46 AM in response to Michael Blackby littlemoccasin,I don't know how many times I tried to change the password of my AppleID -- I still wasn't able to download or update my apps. Out of frustration, I created a new AppleID. So, now I have to re-download everything? Will I have to reset all my settings on the phone in order to change the AppleID that is prompted every time I try to sign in to the app store on the phone?

Sep 25, 2012 8:32 AM in response to littlemoccasinby Michael Black,Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID you used to purchase them.
If you change your primary email address at https://appleid.apple.com/
then your account moves with it and then you could use the new login ID. But if you create a wholly new AppleID then you've created a new account as well and none of your current purchases are associated with it (nor can they be moved to it).
You can redownload everything with the new AppleID, but you will then be charged again for paid purchases.
Or, use the iTunes express lane support and try and get your old AppleID working properly
https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action
Use the iTunes -> iTunes Store -> Acocunt management links and make a request for some assistance.

Sep 24, 2013 8:29 AM in response to littlemoccasinby sunnshinne34,I had to change my email on Apple and i went to Setting, then I went to iTunes & App Stores and i changed it there. You click on your apple ID then sign out and log back in with your new Id and password.

Nov 27, 2013 11:08 AM in response to littlemoccasinby Roadstar3,Did you find out how to change the ID account? When I try to update my apps it prompts me to enter the password of my Sons email address, which is now obsolete. I have a new Apple ID in ITunes but my phone thinks it has the old account. I need to change my phone to my new ID so that I can download all my app updates.
