Airprint is no longer working since upgrading to iOS 6

Is anyone else having issues with Airprint since upgrading to iOS 6? It worked fine before the upgrade on iPhone 4 and new iPad. My printer shows up when I try to print and sends to printer, but nothing prints. When I select the printer, it says "No Airprint Printers Found".

I have this problem also,

We have an iPad 2, iPod Touch, iPhone 4,4s and iMac.

The printer is a HP LaserJet CP1525nw and is listed as a compatable AirPrint printer.

The two iPhones and iPad 2 were upgraded to IOS6 last week.

We wanted to print something out today and when selecting printer it came up with "No AirPrint Printers Found".

This happened on the Other iPhone and the iPad as well. However all the other devices that were not upgraded still work.

I have upgraded the firmware on the printer to the latest version, however this has not helped. I have restarted all devices as well as my network router multiple times to no avail.

Apple need to provide a fix as this provlem is evidently as a result of their IOS6 upgrade.

I just wanted to add a little more information. I am using 2 iPhone 4's, 2 new iPads, a Lexmark X4650 (although I didn't see this on the compatability list, it worked before), a Dell PC with Windows 7, and a Netgear WNDR4500 Router that has an option to use Airprint. The router is able to identify my printer under the Airprint option. I have also updated firmware for the router (there were no updates for the printer) and did cold reboots of all devices. I think that Airprint worked before only when I had a PC on that had the accompanying Netgear Genie software installed on it. Everything else seems to be working, including normal printing from my laptop and PC.

Same issues here: Airprint worked well prior to ios 6 update on my iPhone and iPad. I can use airprint on my MBPro, but my phone and iPad both return a "no airprinters found" message when I attempt to print from either device. I, too, have tried resetting everything; nothing has made a difference. I'm running the latest version of Mountain Lion on my MBPro: 10.8.2. I sure wish we could get this problem fixed!

Have you tried powering the printer off/on. I have an HP setup for airprint and an iPhone 4S with iOS 6. I've not had a problem with it, however, I do know that I power the printer off every night and back on in the morning. Check your router settings and see if the router is "seeing" the printer. Power the printer off/on, power the phone off/on, and lastly power the router off/on to reset the network.

After attempting resets of my router, modem, printers, handheld devices and Mac.. all to no avail in getting AirPrint to work after updating to iOS 6..., I followed advice posted earlier in a related discussion: I downloaded and installed the free app, handyPrint (previously AirPrint Activator). Once this app was placed in my Applications folder, I was able to use it to "see" all printers within range of my network. Whether they are networked printers or free-standing, they show up as "advertised printers" in the handyPrint app (in System Preferences). I was then able to Share them in the Print and Fax preference pane. All 3 printers now appear on both my iPhone and my iPad in AirPrint and they are all now functioning well. I hope this helps. HandyPrint is free for 14 days; a small contribution (your decision how much) is requested to obtain a license once the 14 days have passed. Good luck.

I kept going back and forth as you have, and as have many others on these boards. I honestly don't think you're going to have much success until Apple issues a fix. If you continue to find AirPrint non-functional, I strongly recommend the app I mentioned above. It's a pleasure to try to print from my iPhone and iPad and actually have it working again, thsnjs to handyPrint!

Fingerprint and Printopia are alternatives to Handyprint... I need a windows PC solution - so handyprint doesn't work. Fingerprint is a terrible company. I need printing from a PC and printopia and handyprint are mac only. I found netgenie by netgear supports airprinting on the PC side - but not iOS6 compliant yet. Fingerprint v1 isn't complaint with iOS6 either. You have to pay for v2 if you want iOS6 print capability. I got into a heated debate with them that their software was broken and needed to be updated to make it work for the money I paid for - instead they told me tough luck, and wouldn't upgrade me to the working version for free. They are a seriously shady company and I don't trust them at all. So far I don't have iOS6 on any devices except my wife's iPhone 5... so I'm using netgenie for now.

If someone has a PC working solution for airprint sharing - please share!

My HP locked up the other day for my wife, and her iPhone 4 is still on 5.1.1. I turned the printer off and back on again, and it cleared. She was trying to print a photo and when it didn't start right away, she kept hitting print over and over about 6-7 times. I think that just overwhelmed it.

My iPhone 4S has iOS 6 and it is printing fine. I printed a photo with it the other day. I have a HP Photosmart C410 series printer.
