You have to go to the location where it is, touch the pin and there will be the option to remove it.

Sorry, touching the pin does NOT bring up any "delete" option - on an iPhone or iPad. I have pins that are no longer relevent and want to delete them from maps. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I've done that but 'Remove Pin" is not an option that appears.
