Pairing jawbone headset with iPhone 5

My new iPhone 5 will not pair with my jawbone Bluetooth headset. It does however pair with my iPad 2 running on iOS 6. When I go through the pairing process on the phone it says please make sure the device is turned on and in pairing range. I had this same earpiece paired with my iPhone 4 for over a year with no problems

Please help

I had the same problem with the new iPhone 5. Just solved this with help from Jawbone:

Go to the bluetooth screen in the iphone - so it's ready to pair and is "searching". While holding the answer button on the end of the headset, turn it on; the light will alternate between red and white, the phone should immediately see the headset and you should be able to pair it. I have the ERA headset and this worked for me.

UPDATE: Jawbone Customer Support sent me this fix. It completely resolved all issues for me.

"The ERA is compatible with the iPhone 5. The most likely reason for the issue is that we need to reboot your ERA so that it makes a new clean connection to your iPhone 5. I'll gladly guide you through the steps"...

1.- Make sure your ERA is turned OFF.
2.- Un-pair your ERA from your iPhone 5.
3.- Power Cycle your iPhone 5.
4.- Soft Reset your ERA, here is how to do it: http://jawbone.com/kb/articles/225.html
5.- Re-pair and reconnect your ERA to you iPhone 5, here is how to do it: http://jawbone.com/kb/articles/238.html
