Q: status never updates from waiting (rMBP never seems to update any documents in the cloud)

I have 2 macs at home; the imac (latest 10.8.2) works fine, but my rMBP will not update pages documents in the cloud.  anything that is opened/modified will show a dotted outline cloud and will say that it's pending the update, but it never happens.  Any thoughts?
