Video format issue
My Canon video camera records on MTS format. I want to burn the video to a DVD that anyone can play on their home DVD player. Is there any third party software that will do this?

FWIW, the format is AVCHD, of which mts is an A/V file.
But to your question: you may not need 3rd party. If you have the iLife suite that includes iDVD, you can make a DVD that such play pretty much everywhere, If you don't have iLife, Compressor will create simple DVD's. Otherwise (and I'm assuming you don't have pro apps), look at third party solutions, like Roxio Toast.
