Intermittently I get a line just above the keyboard on my new iphone 5. It goes away after I return to the homescreen. I've gotten the flicker twice while Chrome browser but also on safari. Anyone else have this problem?
No scuffs, just intermittent/slow wifi. When it's fast, it's fast, other times, it just holds for a long time. It's not my wifi since all my other devices are consistently fast.

Ditto on the screen issue just above the keyboard. This happened to me when typing in the App Store. It almost looked like an old scrambled cable channel type of flicker. It was about the height of one row of keys in potrait and across the width of the whole screen. It lasted only a few seconds .
I have exact same issue, it has happened twice when typing in the app store. In addition when typing in safari or chrome the cursor halves in size and i cannot backspace when searching for something long. Would these faults result in DOA, should i take this back to my retailer?
The same thing has happend to me a few times while typing in the app store. I am on my third iphone...This issue also happend with my last iphone 5 before it was returned for light leak between the screen and antenna (which my current phone also has). Hoping a software update will solve this flicker...I'm just going to deal with the light leak, it really isn't noticeable. Taking a screen shot made the flicker line dissapear.
i have the same issue and i called apple and they told me that it was happening to everyone including himself and that i shouldnt worry that its a software issue and with the next update they will resolve the issue. but u should still call so they can make a record of it
that's happening to me too, when i'm in the app store and using the screen to enter numbers i get the flickers. it's good to know it's not just me, i called apple weds morning and the girl i spoke to didn't seem to know anything about it and had me make an apt at the apple store

I got my phone on launch day and started noticing the flicker today, which is how I came across this thread after I’d googled the problem.
My iPhone 5 also came with small but visible scuff marks on the back where the top white part meets the aluminum. Since my phone also gets unusually hot when running routine tasks (which my iPhone 4does not) I have started to wonder if my Apple is a lemon.
The issue is solved with a new iPhone iOS 6 update that came out today. Its iOS 6.0.1 it fixes a few bugs and that is listed as one of them.
