Iphone 5 requires itunes 7 which requires osx 10.6.8. How do I get there from 10.5.8?

Just bought an iphone 5. Downloaded itunes 7. I was not aware that osx 10.6.8 or higher is required. I am running 10.5.8 on an intel macbook pro. How can I get from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8? Thanks

I realise a 10.6 or 10.6.3 dvd was made but can't find it on apples website

Call 1-800-MY-APPLE. Pay $19 for a single-user disk, $29 for a 5-user disk (in case you need another copy later and only Amazon or eBay is selling). I have not heard that Apple has stopped selling it, though.
