Q: My mouse won't pair or connect. I have chaanged batteries and it still won't work.
It is a wireless mouse. I wonder if it's just defected. If it is I have no idea how to get a new one since my warranty is still good.

This happens to me every once in a while, usually when the mouse has been taken out of range of the computer or changing the batteries.
Try going to the Bluetooth preferences and unpair and repair the mouse. I will occasionally have to repair it a couple of times.
If that doesn't work, then go to the Finder. Option click on the "Go" menu and select Library>Preferences and delete the Bluetooth prefs. Then re-pair your mouse.
If that doesn't work, go to the Finder, "Go" menu and select "Computer". Then in the Finder window, HD>Library>Preferences and remove com.apple.Bluetooth.plist. Then re-pair your mouse.
<sorry about the initial error in my post.>
