Security slot on the macbook pro

Does the new MacBook Pro have a built in security slot? If so, where is it?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

I just try not to leave mine unattended in risky situations. Luckily, I haven't had to take into risky situations.

I've been following the third-party security market somewhat. There are solutions that are claimed by either the seller or other users to handle Retina MBPs, but none has seemed satisfactory to me. There is a couple that triy to use the USB port or the SD card slot as a sort of security slot, but it's not clear that the metal around either is strong enough with withstand a good yank. Another appears to require removing the screws holding the bottom plate on and attaching a second bottom plate, reducing portability. Yet another threads through the hinge, but the manufacturer warns against closing the Retina screen on it. One more approach is to build a cage around the bottom half and bolt that to a table.

Some of those solutions might be more appealing to yu than they are to me, or you may find a better one. If so, post here to let us all know.

Anybody else seen a promising solution I haven't mentioned above? I don't claim to have researched them all, and I haven't tried any of them.

Hello to all

So far, after searching around, the only simple solution seems to be this new clear plastic skin from http://www.macLocks.com which lets you attached a cable lock.

You remove five screws from the bottom of your MacBook Pro, then (using the supplied screws and screwdriver) you attach this very lightweight clear, plastic “skin” to the bottom of your laptop (it has ventilation slats), and it has special locking mount in the back right corner . I tried it on Sunday and it worked well (and the lock and cable come with the unit).

I think Apple should addoped this solution or at least save us the truble of searching for it, and recomend it etc.
