The same thing just hppened to my iPad. I received 3 updates for a few apps, went to the app store to update them, checked update all, then a few seconds later Safari, and itunes are gone. Please assist apple!

Go to setting> restrictions> disable restrictions, your apps will return

You're not addressing Apple here. We're all just your fellow users.

It is not possible to delete either iTunes or Safari. Check Settings>General>Restrictions. Do you have them restricted? Are you using a corporate Exchange account? Your administrator could have restricted access. If neither of those things are true, they're there somewhere. Check all the screens and folders. You can also go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Homescreen Layout. This will return the arranment of apps to their factory positions. Both of those apps should then be on the first page.
