Hi, I also have 4S and had the same problem. Instead of following the instructions on the Support page I only reset the network settings Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. And now I have WiFi again! No need to update to iOS 6.

It should also be noted that I had this problem and I have yet to update my phone to iOS 6. And I fixed it without updating as well.

New ISSUE.

I took the phone to the nearest apple reps. They say that the humidity sensor in the headphones jack is pink, so there is no warranty. The problem is WATER so there is no warranty, I am on my own!!!

THat means, they broke it, and I pay!!!

Last item I buy from APPLE.

Unlucky I already bought 2 iphones, 2 ipads, 1 mac mini, 1 Macbook pro retina display, and a couple of ipods.

POOPOO ON APPLE AND BAD SERVICE!!! . you had a great company, But you are Killing your loyal customers!!!

You broke it for good this time.

I wish I had an answer from them

I just got my iphone 4s like a week ago with ios6 as default OS, now wifi is not working. I tried everything to have wifi working again. i tried to close all apps and shutdown the unit for 5 minutes and boom it worked then after a while my wifi was greyed again and the fix did not work anymore. no possible fix yet. hope apple works on it ASAP.

"Tried everything" (whatever that means). Did you read any of the thread you just posted in? Did you read the specific Apple support article linked in the 3rd post in the thread?

If you tried "everything" in that article without success, it means there is a hardware problem in your phone, and only replacing the phone will fix it. There is nothing for Apple to "work on."

Hello there,

I am sorry but im confused on what the cause of this issue is then, as my iphone has never been water damaged, dropped or opened.

So it must have been caused after the new software (6.0.1) was implemented.

Am i correct in saying this?

If so are apple working on an updated ios to fix this?

Also i am very clued up on technology including apples hardware, is there anything i could do to fix this myself as the apple store is a little far from my area.

Kind Regards

All worked just fine on my iphone 4S and after upgrade my wifi is greyed out, bluetooth stopped working AND my volume regulator has vanished so i have no sound on the phone, only with earphones. I have reset my phone both from Itunes and on the phone, reset all network settings, restarting the phone but nothing works.
