Upgrade question

I have a Macbook Pro with the 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and am running Mac OS X 10.4.11, what are my options for upgrading and what am i looking at price wise?

Potentially anything from 10.5 to 10.8.


Browse the forum postings for the past two weeks. This information gets posted here every day and I don't have it all in one document.


Cost: Don't go for Leopard, it will be the most expensive ($100?). Getting Snow Leopard then Lion or Mountain Lion will be cheapest ($30 + $20). Don't forget hidden costs. You may need more RAM. You may need to buy new software since your old versions may no longer run under a newer OS.
