cant back up due to router

I have just downloaded the new software for my iphone 4s, however come into some difficulties.

The screen is showing a connect to itunes sign, in which i have. However my iCloud will not let me back up any of my data as it is saying 2 different things - the first being, that it could not connect due to an authenticating issue. I then clicked back onto the main system preferences in which it is now saying that NAT port mapping or Universal plug and play is turned off on my router. This has now frozen on my system preferences along with 'There is a problem with idisk server at this time'.

I cannot ring, as my phone is in the process of being updated.

Help would be much appreciated!
