I'm using 4S and after i installed iTunes 10.7 and IOS6, can't backup while sync. There is error message appear that backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iphone.Delete backup for this phone and try again.I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled but still same. Why and how to solve ?

I'm having the exact same problem. However, when I go to delete the old backup, I don't have any backups listed to delete.

Iphone 4s ios6

Itunes 10.7

osx 10.7.5

Problem fixed. I had to go into terminal and delete the Backup folder manually.

We to /Library/Application Support/MobileSync

Deleted the Backup folder in MobileSync using a rm -R Backup command
