Q: powerbook g4 battery

ok the problem i am having an im not sure it is one, but i just repacled the battery on it beacuse the other one died beacuse it was old also the computer still charges batteryies fine the problem is the the battey dies fast like after 30-50minutes it dies also the battery symol and the percent is not even accurete it says i have like 2hrs but then it dies befor that time. please help if their is even any way to fix this.

    You should try calibrating your battery.

    Hello,

     

    Where did you buy your battery from and how much did it cost you?

    Some of the really cheap batteries just don't work. Have you set your power setting in Mac OS X as best battery life, while using the battery?

    To get an idea of what kind of shape the battery is in do the following:

     

    From the Apple menu click on About This Mac.

    It looks like this battery is practically worn out. Less than half original capacity and 226 cycles. This is not in any way a new battery and it will function in it's limited state for a while and then fail.

     

    I hope you can exchange it or get a refund. I have had good experience with Other World Computer for  Mac laptop batteries.
