Q: I can slide to power my ipod off, but not to unlock it. Only some spots on the screen won't work. What should I do?

I never dropped my ipod, never got it wet, but somehow, parts of the screen stopped working. I slide to power off, but not to unlock the screen. Only one of the numbers from my passcode works. Please help me

    Try the following:

    - A reset. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Restore from backup

    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. Could be a bad digitizer.
