create mac 10.5 bootable disc

I am looking to make a Mac OS 10.5.8 bootable disc from an iMac M9250LL that I just bought reconditioned.

Given that I bought the Mac and it came loaded with 10.5.8, I don't have an install disk but would like to make an emergency disk with Disk Utility on it so I can recover from drive failure.....etc.

Any ideas?

You cannot deconstruct an installed OS back into a DVD but you can create a bootable clone using an external hard drive, and using software like CCC or SuperDuper to make a bootable clone.
