Why is passbook not working on my Iphone 4s?

I click on the icon it brings up Passbook is the simplest way to get....... so I click the APP Store as that is the only button you can press, states Cannot connect to Itunes but if I click okay there then it takes me to Itunes. I tried the cahnging the date to a couple months/years out and that did not work. Any suggestions?

Okay I figured out how to get it to bring the apps up on my phone, you have to make sure you up back up your cell phone first then change the date and the apps will appear on the 4s, but it only adds the apps to your cell phone not on passbook. Is there something else I will need to do?
