Is the iPhone 5 that you have unlocked? If so, then you can change sim cards, but if it is carrier locked depending on where you purchased it, then no.
The iPhone 5 takes a nano sim card.
I don't have one yet but because I will be moving there I thought it best to find out if it would accept their SIM cards. Do you know if they have nano SIMs there?
Well, if you are moving to Brazil, then you should wait until you get there to purchase the iPhone 5 and then it will be totally compatible with any network in Brazil.
Have a look at the Brazil Apple store for further info or wait until you get to Brazil to see if they have nano sim cards.
