I have a second generation iPod touch with iOS 4.2.1 I recently received updates for many of my applications but now many of them won't launch. They either close out while loading up or they get to the main menu then close out if I do anything. If anyone has a solution I'd appreciate the help.

- Reset the iPod, nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Purchase/install any new app
- The remaining items of:
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
- Last, restore the iPod
