5 orange lights when plugged into usb, and music will not play.

About a week ago my 2nd gen shuffle stopped working-think it was a jogging/sweat realted issue. At the time it had no ligts and was not recognized by iTunes or the computer.

Today the lights came on for the first time in 1.5 weeks and it was recognized by iTunes. I brought it up to full charge, music is showing on the ipod, but when I try to play-nothing happens.

Each time I plug it into the USB cable I get 5 slow flashing orange (more than 2 seconds, less than ten seconds) then it goes green.

Any ideas? Thanks...

Well-it is showing music on the device under the device tab.

Funny-I just ran diagnostics on it, and although the device is recognized under iTuens, and I can send music to it, it is failing a synch test.

The shuffle will not play music when connected to iTunes, and it will not play music when disconnected to the computer.
