Narrowing searches

Many times a search engine will give you a link that leads to a webpage where the answer can PROBABLY be found, but where there's so much other material , that it doesn't seem worth the trouble to try and find exactly what you were looking for. Is there some way to narrow things down? Is there, perhaps, some app. that takes you to that part of the page where the item you're looking for can be found? By the way, I've asked this question before, and someone--JeffreyJones2, I think--suggested "Google Instant". Somehow, that suggestion didn't register with me at the time, but I've now tried it, and it's very helpful, even though it doesn't do exctly what I'm asking for here. Anyway, try it out if you already haven't.

This seems to be important only to me, so I'm closing the file.
