OK, as a mac user for 25 years I have to say that this is one of the most pathetic things I've seen apple do. I own two copies of Pro. One I bought 4 or 5 years ago and one I bought a couple of years ago and as a long time loyal customer of apple, having purchased literally dozens dozens of macs over the years, they are going to tell me to re-purchase my serial!?!!?!?!?
OK, first of all, Apple is virtually DROWNDING in profits and yet they are going to nickle and dime their pro customers like this?
The person that made this choice is a greedy snot that thinks that it is OUR pleasure to do business with apple and not the other way around. This person needs their walking papers and I say that as a business owner and a software developer who, in spite of NOT having world record profits, can still respect my customers and their MONEY enough to go into an archive and get their serial for them. Maybe their "customer service" reps and I use that term lightly, are le tired of clicking buttons?
Anyway, I am just SHOCKED by this and had to make a statement. I have stood by apple during their worst times and as far as I'm concerned, they are starting to head downhill pretty fast and in a way that I won't stand beside.
So nickle and dime us for 15 bucks and watch yourt 20 year loyal users get sick to their stomachs and think about leaving apple for the first time in our lives.
As if iTunes and the literal lockdown and forcing of their users into little controlled observed apple boxes that they are trying to accomplish now wasn't bad enough.
