today i got my replacement ipod touch and everything has synced onto it from my itunes (songs, films, tv programmes) except for my camera photos from my old ipod. i had over 700 and i was wondering if there was any way of getting them back because, stupidly, i never transferred them onto my computer! please can you help?!

If they were synced to the iPod from anothr computer you need a third-partyy program like TouchCopy or PhoneView to transfer them.
i'm using the same computer it's just that i've got a new ipod. perhaps because i never put my ipod photos onto my computer i can't get them back? slightly annoyed!

If yes what is in the DCIM folder on the iPod in My computer?
it does come up in My Computer, but there's nothing in the dcim folder. i presume in my old ipod this is where all the pictures would come up?
OK, now I think I understand your problem. You are saying that the DCIM folder on the new iPod does not have any photos. Photos taken by or saved to the iPod are in the iPod backup that iTunes makes. You have to restore the iPod from the backup of your old iPod to get the photos in your new iPod's Camera Roll album. To restore from backup see:
