Can can you use an AT

If you have AT&T service instead of cox cable can you use the AirPort Extreme instead of the AT&T router that comes with the service or can you use both????????

The key is the line coming into the house. If your current AT&T router is connected to a phone line (RJ-11) then it must have a built-in DSL modem. Unfortunately, in this case, you cannot simply substitute the AirPort Extreme as it needs to be connected to an Ethernet line (RJ-45). You could; however, use both routers by connecting the Extreme to the AT&T by Ethernet, and then, reconfiguring the Extreme as a bridge.
