Sep 26, 2012 5:39 PM in response to deggieby newzealandnz,The home button will give me siri however I need to be able to use the dictation key to write my messages I.E when using iMessage siri will not write the words I speak.
I have found a way to get buy "fn" then "3" and the keyboard comes up on the left of the space bar I press the mica and talk.

May 22, 2016 6:14 PM in response to newzealandnzby r_screenname,Using the native iPad key board instead of the logitech one will allow the microphone to bring up dictation instead of Siri.
The little I know has shown me the microphone on the Logitech only works to boot Siri, never to dictate, as you are asking. From what I've seen.

Sep 10, 2016 12:22 AM in response to Banuschkaby Banuschka,I forgot to mention that the key on my keyboard is not labeled fn, but is labeled with a little keyboard icon (it is the leftmost key on the lowest row of my Logitech keyboard)

Sep 10, 2016 12:29 AM in response to r_screennameby Banuschka,No, it works well. I tried out newzealandz tip and I can now use voice input, in fact I'm using it to type this post. The only difference on my Logitech keyboard is that the button is not labeled fn, but has a little keyboard icon.
