Need a new SIM for a verizon iphone 5 I bought on eBay, can I just go into an apple store and get one for free? Will this card work fine?

If you are planning on using the iPhone on Verizon you don't need a SIM.
That's definitely not true; you need a new sim after the phone has been deactivated off of another line.
I know that a new 4G nano sim is needed, that's not a question, however I don't know if I can just get a sim from the apple store as I heard they hand out SIMs. Also do they just give them to you or do you need to be the account head on your plan? Or will I just ask and they say yeah here's the card see you later?
I wasn't able to find any nano SIM cards on launch day, and Verizon wasn't expecting to get any until this week. However, after a 24 hour waiting period, you can reactivate your SIM card on a different line of service. This is different than Verizon's typical 4G SIM cards, which become locked to a line once they're activated. I wasn't able to do it through the online portal, but calling 611 or 800-922-0204 and speaking to someone will do the trick.
Are you sure that will work? I have the old sim but I went online to activate it and it went through but then in my iphone it showed that I had someone else's number, and the phone would not work.
Oh also, it was more than 24hours after the previous owner, someone on eBay, had deactivated.
I wasn't able to get the SIM reactivation to work online (VZW my business account), but I will say that I had to factory reset the iPhone and go through activation before the old number cleared out of the phone.
So go talk to Verizon. Why is that such a difficult concept?
Well don't comment if you're going to be an ***. I was looking for help from someone else who had gone to apple to get a sim before I drive an hour up to the store.
Apple does not provide SIMs.
The carrier provides the SIM because the SIM has account information for the carrier on it.
Why would you think the hardware manufacturer would provide the SIM?
Because I've read that apple has them in their stores as we're going them out for free atleast in five different places. I wanted to verify that try work on here.
No clue where you've heard that... but it sounds like someone blowing smoke.
Apple does not have nor give out SIMs, fullsize, micro, or nano.
The carrier provides the SIM.
The carriers provide SIMs to Apple to install in phones that they sell. They are not going to give you a SIM. Don't waste your time. There are verizon stores all over the place. Just go to the closest Verizon store and get one from them.
Heres some posts on another forum:
"""
Same here, I went to apple and they gave me a new SIM card after two diff Verizon stores didn't have anymore; otherwise I would have had to wait till Monday to get a new SIM card in the mail -___-"""
read many other situations like that, i guess ill just have to call the local apple store to see if they have sims. Its not as simple as it soudns to just go to the verizon store because I need to bring the head of my plan with me, which just makes for a hassle. But if the apple store doesnt have any I guess that will be my only option.
Yet another forum on here saying Apple hands out Sim Cards:
