can't print to Epson 3880

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and can't print to my Epson 3880. I downloaded printer driver 8.6.4 from the Epson site (www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supportMountainLionDetails.jsp). I'm printing from Lightroom 4 and it just hangs on "sending data to printer." I've tried restarting the printer and computer (Macbook Pro), re-plugging USB cable.

Also, when I can't open printer utility via system preferences...tried once and got a crash error, now nothing is happening when I click on it.
