Okay, but what happens when whatever process has commandeered the track pad on my laptop, and so I can't move it to the Apple menu? And I also utilized command-option-shift, along with command-option-shift-escape to no avail?
I had this problem once before, where the cursor would get stuck in an endless repeat of a key. The only way I could get it to budge was with shutting off the laptop. I had to get the harddrive wiped clean and then reinstall everything manually, as the personnel posited that somehow malware might be responsible.
