iTunes videos not playing

Try relaunching iTunes in 32-bit mode first, as per the instructions in the following document:
iTunes for Mac: Older media files may require iTunes to reopen in 32-bit mode
Thanks for the quick response. I have already tried changing to 32 bit mode with no success. I don't get the error message, instead I get a solid black video screen with no buttons at the bottom.
The videos I am trying to watch are tutorials created by teachers at our school using MacBook Pros, QuickTime, and 3rd party software or iMovie.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Just in case, try launching iTunes normally again, and checking to see if they'll play properly now.
(Sometimes "toggling" back and forth between normal and 32-bit mode seems to knock some sense into things.)
I still don't have a solution. Anyone?
