iphone 5 Camera and flash do not work

I just got my new iphone 5, but the camera/ video and the led flash do not work. When I open the camera, it brings up the screen, but I am unable to select any of the options, and it does not show anything but black for the camera image.

As for the LED, I bring up a flashlight app, and nothing. The LED stays dark.

I've tried restarting the phone, and there is no case on it to disrupt the lense.
