When taking pictures in the dark or in average light, a green dot appears on the screen and comes out in the pictures as well. Is there something wrong with the lens of my iPhone 5 or is it just supposed to be like this? It's pretty annoying..... I don't want to go to apple store and see that the replacement has it too. The apple store is about an hour from me.
Anyone having these issues? Or have a solution?

I have the same issue when using the front camera.. I notice that it happens if there is a bright light in the background, it almost seems as if the green dot is some kind of reflection of the light in some way. I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow afternoon so we'll see what they say when I get there.
Hi, I noticed the same issue when I was taking pics at time square at night.

Unfortunately I had an emergency and wasn't able to get to the apple store for my appointment but will hopefully get there some time this week.. I'll keep you all posted..
I am having the same issue - want to know if it is something that has been corrected in the hardware and if an exchange will take care of - hoping someone goes to the Genius Bar and reports back - if not, I'll go soon I think - much more prominent problem than I thought after taking some vacation pics!
