New Airplay capability on apple TV

Does anyone miss the capability to use AirTunes to play content from one 1st gen Apple TV to others? What is the use of being able to AirPlay to one other device with this new update (and losing sound on the first)? I want every Apple TV in my home play the same music..with no computer present. I love having Netflix and Hulu but it kills me that I still can't do things that I used to be able to do years ago on my original Apple TV.
