I personally never had an iPhone before. Before purchasing my iPhone 5, my wife and I together never used more than 2 gigs of data per month. She has the iPhone 4 and i had the original Droid X. Now that I have gotten my iPhone 5 and lost my unlimited data plan with Verizon, my shared data has sky rocketed. I am up to around 1.5 gigs of shared data and my billing cycle doesn't end till October 19th. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to adjust settings on the phone without rendering the cellular data useless and making this phone work only on a wifi signal? I should be able to still use my phone as I always have and not use that much more data.

iPhone 5, iOS 6

Hi,you can turn off the cellular data from the settings and use only wifi... is it you are asking buddy or something else?? or you can check in the settings-> itunes & app store that "use mobile data" is off or not. may be that is the case Many Regards,Nikhil

You may be one of us that has wifi troubles as in poor wifi or wifi disconnecting and then your data goes to cellular Your best bet is to turn off cellular data when you want to force wifi use or downloading data Settings > General > Cellular > Off
