I know it tries to initiate an IPv6 connection somewhere. I totally run on IPv4, and have not used IPv6 settings anywhere on my system AFAIK. Have investigated my logs meticulously but could not find a hint where to smash this one. As it is flooding my logs every 2 minutes I would love to turn this off.

OS X 10.6.8 server running DNS, Firewall, iCal, Mail, MySQL, OD, Push Notification & Web

Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

You appear to have several bad or misconfigured IPv6 hosts accessible on your network; these log messages are the result of receiving an unexpected address, per RFC 3810.

The following should silence the messages...

 > System Preferences > Network > select the active controller > Advanced > TCP/IP > Configure IPv6 > Off

Though I'd also wonder if your network is open much more widely than you might expect; if you've got an open IPv6 connection or tunnel active somewhere, and that's forwarding traffic around.

And the obvious question: Did anything change in the last 24 hours on your local network?
