I have an older iMac that I am replacing with a new one. Both use DDR3 Ram, but the older machine has two 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, and the newer machine has 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM. Can I take the older DDR3 ram and add it to the new iMac in the two empty slots?

I have an older iMac (2009) that I am replacing with a new one. Both use DDR3 Ram, but the older machine has two 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM installed, and the new machine has two 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM installed. Can I take the older DDR3 ram and add it to the new iMac in the two empty slots? It would give me 8gigs instead of 4....
