My wife wants to manage her iTunes account from her iPad (with ios 6). The app interface only wants to let her buy/rent/spend money. She needs to change the way iTunes charges her credit/credit card. Any one know how to get past the "buy now" iTunes interface?

To update account info go to settings-iTunes and app stores. Then touch the apple I'd then view account.
Thanks for trying, but the only account info in settings on the iPad is to turn on and off automatic downloading and such. There is no means that I saw to manage my wife's iTunes account (such as I would be able to with a Macintosh computer), i.e.,there is no access to the credit card/payment choices for the account.
I'm still hoping that I don't have to tell her to go to the computer. She wants to move everything to the iPad.
Ok, I am not sure you quite understood what I said. So I have some pictures for you.
First go to settings- iTunes and App stores.
Then touch where it says "Apple ID" in the red oval above.
Select "view account" like in the red oval above.
Select "Payment information" as in the red oval above.
Adjust payment information as desired and select done.
